Sachin is a young and passionate kabaddi player from Panaji, Goa, who plays as a right cover defender for Haryana Steelers. Born on June 19, 2005, the 20-year-old defender started playing kabaddi at the age of 15 in his hometown where he first developed his love for the sport.
Coming from a working-class family with his father Krishna working as a laborer and mother Sushil Devi as a housewife, Sachin learned the value of hard work early in life. He works part-time as a waiter in a hotel while pursuing his kabaddi dreams and has completed his education up to the 12th standard.
Known for his excellent ankle holds and double thigh hold techniques, Sachin trains under Coach Sombir at the Panaji Sports Club and achieved a major milestone by winning a Bronze medal at the Junior National Championship in Goa in 2023. He looks up to veteran defender Sandeep Narwal as his role model and dreams of making a big impact with the Haryana Steelers in PKL Season 12.
