Applications to open for sports coaching course at Sports Authority of India Netaji Subhash centres

As the country gets to lift the lockdown in a gradual manner, the Sports Authority of India Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports in Patiala has announced the details about their course in Sports Coaching. The applications for the diploma course are all set to open from Wednesday, 10th June 2020. Interested candidates will be required to go to https://nsnis.org/ to fill up their applications.

In their circular, the management of SAI Patiala has put out the eligibility criteria for all the candidates who are willing to join the course. A total of 725 seats are vacant across four Sports Authority of India centers in Patiala, SAI Netaji Subhash Southern Centre Bangalore, Sports Authority of India Netaji Subhas Eastern Centre Kolkata, and SAI The Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Thiruvananthapuram.

The course of Kabaddi coaching will be held at the SAI facility in Bangalore with a total of 30 seats allotted to the sport. Apart from Kabaddi, the disciplines which are available are Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Cycling, Fencing, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kho-Kho, Rowing Canoeing & Kayaking, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Wushu, and Yoga.

Candidates will have to pass one of the many eligibility criteria set by SAI. The candidates will also have to pass an online test as well as physical and medical examination to get admission into the course. There will also be a virtual interview for the candidates. The entrance exam (educational qualification, online test, sports achievements) will be of total of 100 marks.
