Central Railway confirmed their participation in the 68th All India inter railway kabaddi championship (Men) 2019

Central Railway, Mumbai, have confirmed their participation in the 68th All India inter railway kabaddi championship (Men) 2019, which has been scheduled from 7th to 10th January 2019. Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bengaluru is organizing the championship.

Update: 08th January 2019
In thier first match of the tournament, Central Railway played South Western Railway. CR on paper looked very strong and they proved that on the mat too. Shrikant Jadhav demolised the SWR defence while the raiders of SWR could not break CR's defence. The halftime score was 28-1, while in the second half SWR performed a bit better but couldnt take the heat. the final score of the game was 41-10.

Update: 08th January 2019
In their second match, the Central Railway played the ICF, Chennai team. Shrikant Jadhav led CR was once again heavy on the raiding scoring a quick 17-12 lead by halftime while ICF was struggling to keep up. In the seo=cond half, ICF came back with a bang pushing the lead to a thinner number but it wasnt enough as CR beat ICF 34-30 when the match ended.

In the next match, they played South Eastern Railway who have Rohit Baliyan as their lead raider. Rohit alone couldnt do much as Shrikant Jadhav, Viraj and Sandeep led the team to another massive win 46-22.

The quater finals was played between Central Railway and Rail Wheel Factory. In this match we saw the class Shrikant Jadhav raids with and some sublime ankle holds by Sandeep Dhull. Viraj along side Sandeep were crucial in getting blocks and dashes, overall giving their team a decent lead od 48-25 when full time was announced. 
Post defeating RWF, the CR team moved to the semi finals.\

Update: 10th January 2019
CR played the semi finals against Pawan Sehrawat led Northern Railway.Both the teams are strong in raiding and defence. The match was played with high intensity which Shrikant Jadhav, Pawan Sehrawat and Bhupender showed some excellent raiding while Sandeep Dhull, Viraj and Ravinder Pahal showed us some intense defending skills. The half time score was 26-18 infavour of Central Railway.
It seemed that CR is going to run away with the match but Pawan Sehrawat as usual had other plans for the second half. Using his pace and agility and had some sublime running hand touches alongwith some mistakes from the CR defenders finally put the curtains on a wonderful run by the Central Railway players. They lost to Northern Railway by a score of 49-43.
