Delhi Senior State Kabaddi Championship Tournament went underway yesterday (3/4/2021) in Delhi's Sarita Vihar- organised by Sarita Vihar Kabaddi Association, Southeast district. This tournament features 11 districts from Delhi in both Men and Women sections. This is the first time that Delhi State Kabaddi Association is organizing a state selection tournament for the selection of players who will play the 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship. Hats off to the players who are showcasing their skills for the last two days in the demanding heat in the capital.

Women's Section on day 1 saw 10 league matches happen and top 4 form each of the 4 groups made it to the Semi Finals. Dilshad Garden Kabaddi Association, Dwarka Kabaddi Association, Mehrauli Kabaddi Association and Alipur Kabaddi Association made it to the Semi-Final of Delhi Senior State Kabaddi Championship.

Semi Final 1 of the Women's section began with Dwarka Kabaddi Association taking on Dilshad Garden Kabaddi Association under the scorching hot sun of Delhi. From the start of this match both teams were at peak intensity and kept scoring points. The game was a treat to watch as it was neck to neck through out the 40 mins. In the end it was Dwarka who kept their nerves and won an epic thriller against Dilshad Garden to make it to the finals of the Delhi Senior State Kabaddi Championship.

Semi-Final 2 which followed the epic Semi-Final 1 was between Mehrauli Kabaddi Association and Alipur Kabaddi Association. This game also started off on a neck to neck note as both teams were scoring points at regular intervals. In the end it was Alipur who took lead and won the game with 6 point difference to make it the final against Dwarka Kabaddi Association.
