Kangana plays Kabaddi in her next film "Panga"

Actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen as a kabaddi player in her upcoming film Panga, the trailer for which was launched on 23rd of December 2019. Panga is a story about a female kabaddi champion who had to leave her passion for the sport after the birth of her child. Kangana plays the lead role of Jaya Nigam in the movie. 

Jaya is a national level kabaddi star who played for Railways and now has left the sport to take care of her family. Her life juggles around being a wife, mother, daughter and a working professional in the Railways. She dreams of making a comeback to Kabaddi after a few kabaddi players fail to recognize her as a former kabaddi champion. 

She decides to start preparing for a comeback and gets support from her husband Prashant Nigam, played by actor Jassi Gill. He tells her to take up this opportunity rather than contemplating it now and then probably regretting it later. She starts putting on efforts towards her comeback while her husband manages the household while she is gone. The mother also finds enthusiasm in her child about his mother's comeback to Kabaddi.

The story revolves around the struggle of Kangana's character to make her comeback in the Kabaddi world after a long time. Neena Gupta portrays the character of Jaya's nagging mother who is doubting her decision to make it into Kabaddi once again. However, as her daughter starts getting success, she cannot hold back her tears. The tagline of the film says 'jo sapne dekhte hain woh panga lete hain' (the one who dreams, take the challenge)

The film also stars Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles and is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. The film is scheduled to release on 24th January 2020.
