69th Women's Senior Kabaddi Championship 2023: Everything you need to know about teams,squad and other important information in detail

The 69th edition of the Women's Senior Kabaddi championship is about to commence from March 23rd to 26th in Mahendargarh, Haryana, and Kabaddi's popularity continues to soar. The tournament spanning three days will feature top-notch female Kabaddi players from all over the country, demonstrating their skills. This competition carries great significance for the participants, as their performance could impact their chances of making it to the Indian Kabaddi team for the upcoming Asian Games. In just two days, the reigning champions, Himachal Pradesh, will join the competition, aiming to defend their title.

 

The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has organized the upcoming Kabaddi tournament, and the Shri Krishna Group of Institutions in Mahendargarh, Harayana, has been chosen as the venue for the schedule release. All five participating teams have announced their squads and begun their practice sessions.

 

In the previous edition of the tournament, which was the 68th edition held in 2022, 29 teams were divided into eight groups, and the competition was held in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. Himachal Pradesh emerged as the champions, clinching victory over Indian Railways with a score of 33-31. Indian Railways dominated Rajasthan with a 41-17 win in the other semifinal. Haryana was eliminated in the semis after losing to Himachal Pradesh with a score of 35-32.
