Shailaja is an accomplished international level Kabaddi coach. She has coached national and international kabaddi teams to win at the national and international levels (including a Gold medal). Her coaching method includes an all rounded regimen focusing on strength, stamina and tenacity apart from skills of the game. She easily blends into the team’s culture. She is result oriented and doesn’t mind taking the hard decisions in pursuit of excellence of the team. She has played Kabaddi and Kho-Kho in her earlier years. Shailaja is pursuing the inclusion of Kabaddi in the Olympic games and has achieved her ambition of coaching a national team to win a medal in that arena. Shailaja is pursuing her own project for discovering and coaching talent from rural areas of India.
