Teams With Most Pro Kabaddi League (PKL)Titles

The Pro Kabaddi League, which started in 2014, has seen many great teams compete for the top prize. Since the beginning of the league, different teams have won the PKL trophy, but some teams have been more successful than others. When you look at all the seasons from 2014 to 2025, you will find that three teams stand above the rest when it comes to winning PKL titles. These teams have shown that they know how to win and how to stay strong through many seasons.

Patna Pirates: The Kings of PKL

Patna Pirates is the team with the most PKL titles in the history of the league. They have won the trophy three times, which is something no other team has done. This makes them the most successful team in Pro Kabaddi League history. Their three titles came during Seasons 3, 4, and 5. What makes this even more special is that Patna Pirates won all three of these titles one after the other, without losing in between.

The story of Patna Pirates began in Season 3 of 2016 when they defeated U Mumba with a score of 31-28. This win meant a lot because U Mumba had been the defending champions at that time. Pardeep Narwal was a key player for Patna Pirates during this match. He had 116 raid points that season, which was the highest among all the raiders. Rohit Kumar, the captain at that time, was named the MVP of the season. He played very well in the final game and scored 7 important points. Sandeep Narwal was strong in defense with 53 tackle points.

After winning in Season 3, Patna Pirates proved they could win again. In Season 4, they beat Jaipur Pink Panthers 37-29 and became the first team in PKL to defend their title. This meant they won back-to-back championships. They did this even though Rohit Kumar had moved to another team. Pardeep Narwal continued to be the star player and scored 133 raid points that season.

Then in Season 5, Patna Pirates did something even more special. They beat Gujarat Giants 55-38 and won their third straight title. This made them the only team to have won three titles in a row in the PKL. Pardeep Narwal had an amazing performance with 369 raid points, which was the most that season. He also did 18 Super Raids and 19 Super 10s, which broke many records. Patna Pirates scored 1,050 total points that season, which was the highest by any team at that time.

Even though Patna Pirates has not won a title since Season 5, they remain very important to the league. They have played more than 100 PKL matches, which shows how strong they are as a team. They have been runners-up in 2 final matches as well, which proves they keep coming back to compete for the top prize.

Jaipur Pink Panthers: The Steady Winners

Jaipur Pink Panthers is the second-most successful team when it comes to PKL titles. They have won the trophy two times. Their first title came in the very first season of the Pro Kabaddi League in 2014, and their second title came much later in Season 9 in 2022. This means they had to wait 8 years between their two wins, which shows how hard it is to win more than one title in PKL.

In Season 1, Jaipur Pink Panthers won the first-ever Pro Kabaddi League trophy by beating U Mumba 35-24. They won 10 of their 14 matches that season and were one of the most steady teams. Maninder Singh was their star raider with 137 raid points, which was very high. Their captain played with a lot of skill, and this helped them become the inaugural champions.

Jaipur Pink Panthers had to wait a long time for their next title. After many seasons of trying, they finally won again in Season 9 by beating Puneri Paltan 33-29. Their new captain Sunil Kumar got 5 tackle points in the final game, which was important. Arjun Deshwal was the MVP of Season 9 with 296 raid points. A new player named Ankush made 89 tackle points, which was the most by any new player in PKL history.

Dabang Delhi K.C.: The Recent Champions

Dabang Delhi K.C. is another team with two PKL titles, which makes them equal to Jaipur Pink Panthers in terms of trophy count. They won their first title in Season 8 in the year 2021-22, and their second title in Season 12 in 2025. Their recent success shows that they are a strong team in modern PKL.

Dabang Delhi beat Patna Pirates in a very close final in Season 8 by a score of 37-36. This was one of the closest finals in Pro Kabaddi League history, with just 1 point between the two teams. Naveen Kumar was their best raider with 207 raid points in 17 matches. He was also named MVP because of his great playing. Manjeet Chhillar was their strong defender with 52 tackle points.

Most recently, Dabang Delhi won their second title in Season 12 on October 30, 2025. They defeated Puneri Paltan 31-28 in front of a home crowd at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. This was a special win because it made them the first home team to win the PKL title since U Mumba won in Season 2. Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar led the raiding with 8 and 6 points. Fazel Atrachali, an Iranian player, played an important role in the final, and he also became the most successful foreign player in PKL history.

Other Teams With One Title Each

Besides these three teams, there are five other teams that have won the PKL trophy one time each. These teams are U Mumba, Bengaluru Bulls, Bengal Warriorz, Puneri Paltan, and Haryana Steelers. Each of these teams has had their moment of glory when they won the PKL title.

U Mumba won their title in Season 2 by beating Bengaluru Bulls 36-30. Bengaluru Bulls won their title in Season 6 by beating Gujarat Giants 38-33. Bengal Warriorz won their title in Season 7 by beating Dabang Delhi 39-34. Puneri Paltan won their title in Season 10 by beating Haryana Steelers 28-25. Haryana Steelers won their title in Season 11 by beating Patna Pirates 32-23.

Why Some Teams Have Won More Titles

When you look at the teams with the most PKL titles, you see a pattern. The teams that have won the most are the ones that have kept their best players, built strong defenses, and had good leaders as captains. Patna Pirates had Pardeep Narwal, who was one of the best raiders ever. Jaipur Pink Panthers had Maninder Singh and later Arjun Deshwal. Dabang Delhi had Naveen Kumar who was MVP two times in a row.

Having the right mix of good offense and good defense is also important. Patna Pirates was known for their strong raiders. Jaipur Pink Panthers had a mix of both raiding and defending. Dabang Delhi also balanced both sides well.

Another key factor is that these teams stayed together and did not change too much from season to season. This gave them time to know each other well and play better as a team. Teams that changed many players every season found it harder to win.

Since 2014, the Pro Kabaddi League has seen many exciting seasons with different teams fighting for the trophy. Patna Pirates leads with three titles, followed by Jaipur Pink Panthers and Dabang Delhi K.C. with two titles each. These three teams have shown great skill and determination through the years. The rest of the teams have each won one title, which also shows the growing strength of the whole league. As new seasons come, many teams will keep trying to add their names to this list of winners.
