Anil Gurjar, a promising young Kabaddi talent, was born on June 24, 2004, in Berchha, Madhya Pradesh, before moving to Umarsinghi Village where he spent most of his childhood. From an early age, Anil was fascinated by the game of Kabaddi, drawing inspiration from local veterans who had already made a mark in the sport. Their guidance motivated him to take the game seriously, and with time, he decided to pursue Kabaddi as his career path.
Under the mentorship of coaches Kamal Dhethliya and Manoj Bali, Anil began structured training and refined his game. Known for his agility and attacking flair, he quickly developed a reputation for his signature ‘Dubki’ move, a skill that sets him apart on the mat. His hard work bore fruit when he got the opportunity to represent Madhya Pradesh in both Khelo India tournaments and the Junior Nationals, showcasing his talent on larger platforms.
Currently, Anil is pursuing a Bachelor of Physical Education, striking a balance between academics and sports. With aspirations to feature in the Pro Kabaddi League and ultimately don the Indian jersey, Anil remains dedicated to improving his craft and making his village and state proud.
