Speaking exclusively on KBD Live, JioStar expert Rishank Devadiga lauded Devank Dalal’s stunning performance, his impact and leadership in guiding his new team to victory:
“He did what he promised, and even more than what he said. The celebration we saw today was unexpected, we didn’t think Devank Dalal would celebrate in that way. But it was well deserved, because he single-handedly helped his team secure the win in this match against the Haryana Steelers. We had previously said that playing with a new team brings a different responsibility, especially now that he’s the captain and also carrying the pressure of a big price tag. But none of that seemed to affect him today. If he continues to play with this kind of dominance throughout the season, I believe Devank Dalal can once again establish himself as the number one raider.”

Rishank Devadiga lavished praised on Bengal Warriorz’s debutant Manprit for his impressive start and crucial support to captain Devank Dalal:
“Manprit was a real surprise package for me. We were expecting Bengal to use Vishwas S as the second raider, or even Sushil Kambrekar, but neither of them featured, and instead, Manprit stepped up. The way he supported Devank was truly outstanding. Last season at Patna Pirates, Devank had Ayan Lohchab as his support raider, and this time around at Bengal Warriorz this season, Manprit has taken up that role. With 14 raids and 13 raid points, those are exceptional numbers for a debutant. His confidence will be very high, and if he continues with this kind of performance, I believe he will do even better in the upcoming matches.”

On the turning point in the clash between Tamil Thalaivas and U Mumba:
“I think until the third session, the match was completely in Tamil Thalaivas’ control. But that super tackle by Anil on Pawan Sehrawat changed everything. If that moment hadn’t gone U Mumba’s way, and if Tamil Thalaivas had managed to inflict the all-out, they would have surely won the game. Somewhere, a mistake was made when Pawan went in for that raid. If Arjun Deshwal had gone instead, I believe he could have been successful.”

On U Mumba’s fighting spirit and resilience:
“I always say one thing, the team that stages a comeback and wins becomes very dangerous, because they know how to handle pressure situations. In both matches, U Mumba showed remarkable comebacks, against the Gujarat Giants and Tamil Thalaivas. Going forward, I believe they will play with even greater maturity. We can already see Sunil Kumar growing as a captain, and both these performances were very important for U Mumba.”
