PKL-12: Strong Devank’s 8th Super-10 in a row, Bengal Warriors beat Patna Pirates by 6 points

Captain Devank (22 points) gave a powerful show, helping Bengal Warriors win against Patna Pirates 48-42 in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 12’s 51st match. The game was at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium on Saturday.

For Bengal, Devank got 22 points, and Himanshu Narwal and Ashish each got 5 points. For Patna, Ayan got 15 points and Maninder got 12.

This is Bengal Warriors’ third win in eight games. They now have 13 points and are in ninth place. Patna Pirates lost their sixth game in eight.

In the match, Bengal’s Devank Dalal and Patna’s ‘Mighty’ Maninder Singh both started well against their old teams by getting multiple points. Then, Ayan got multiple points in the seventh minute and made Bengal all-out, making the score 13-8. Patna led 16-11 after the first 10 minutes.

Bengal’s captain Devank got three points in a do-or-die raid to start his team’s comeback. He also finished his eighth Super-10 in a row. Patna was close to all-out. In the next raid, Maninder got tackled, and Bengal made Patna all-out to tie the score at 19-19.

Strong Devank did another super raid in the last minute of the first half, giving Bengal three points. Bengal led 26-25 at the end of the first half. In the first 20 minutes, Bengal’s captain Devank Dalal showed great form and got 15 points.

After the second half started, Patna tied it at 27-27. Patna’s Ayan finished his fourth Super-10. He did a super raid in his next turn to keep Patna tied until the 35th minute.

Until the 30th minute, both teams were almost tied. But Patna’s Maninder Singh did a super raid to finish his 80th Super-10 in his career. In the 36th minute, Patna did a super tackle on Devank to come back and tie at 39-39.

In the last minutes, Bengal and Patna had a close fight. Bengal’s defense got points, while Patna’s Ayan kept scoring.

In this tight game, Himanshu Narwal did a super raid in the 39th minute and made Patna all-out. Bengal led 44-41. Bengal then got four more points to win 48-42.
