Khelo India University Games: Full Kabaddi Schedule

The first edition of the Khelo India Univerity Games kicked off at Cuttack on Saturday, 22nd of February 2020. With a total of 159 Universities from across India taking part in the tournament, it will see the participation of almost 3400 athletes in 17 disciplines. Kabaddi is one of the six-team events that will be held in the games and will see players from top universities like Maharshi Dayanand University, Panjab University, and Delhi University Sports Council among others.

Kabaddi's action at the Khelo India University Games will begin from the 26th of February at the  KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The sport of Kabaddi will see almost 200 players taking part in the men's and women's categories. All the participating players will be from the Under-25 age category.

Rohtak's Maharshi Dayanand University are the top contenders for the gold medal at the Khelo India Games. They have created legendary players in the past and would be looking to continue the tradition even in Orissa. Kurukshetra University and Mangalore University will be the two other strong contenders for the gold medal.

The men's and women's teams have been divided into two groups with the teams playing round-robin matches. The top two teams from each group will move on to play the semi-finals. The league matches will begin on the 26th of February and will go on till the 28th of February. Semifinals and Finals will be played on the 29th of February and 1st March respectively.
