Ajith Kumar's heroics and Rahul Choudary’s tackle help Tamil Thalaivas make a tie against Puneri Paltan

V Ajith Kumar led the Tamil Thalaivas attack brilliantly as he scored 18 raid points and helped his team finish with a 36-36 tie against the home side Puneri Paltan at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Balewadi in Pune on Wednesday.  A powerful tackle by Showman Rahul Chaudary at the end helps Tamil Thalaivas register a tie against strong-looking Puneri Paltan.

Rahul Chaudhari's ankle hold on Nitin Tomar - Match Tied, V. Ajith Kumar - Star Player

The first half of the match was a combination of super tackles and super raids from both sides. Abishek’s successful tackle on Manjeet started things off on a positive note for Tamil Thalaivas and V Ajith Kumar helped them extend their lead to four with three successful raids in quick succession. Then suddenly there came a strong comeback from Pankaj Mohite who made a wonderful super raid, adding three points to the tally. After this Puneri Paltan inflicted an all-out in the 7th minute itself. After a well-fought half by Puneri Paltan, they ended the half leading by 6 points, about a scoreline of 18-12.

The second half of the match was an edge of a thriller. Once Shabeer Bapu was tackled, Ajith Kumar came into the picture and by showing his excellent skills he single-handedly started adding points to the team’s tally. In this process, he scored a super 10 and made the points difference closer.

An error of judgment by Nitin Tomar helps Tamil team to make a tie.

The last 3 minutes of this half was full of ups and downs. Ajith Kumar and Manjeet Chillar kept their calm and played to their instinct. In the last minute of the half there came an error from the Pune side. Nitin Tomar got tackled by ‘Showman’ Rahul Choudary which helped Tamil side maintain scoreline with Pune side. Thus eventually the scoreline at the end of the match was 36-36.

Althrough Puneri Paltan managed to keep the lead for more than 80% of the time against Thalaivas, last raid by Nitin Tomar vanished the lead.


V. Ajith kumar smartly saved All-Outs for 4 times and did many Multi-point raid, True Star player of the match.
