City-based digital media entertainment Silly Monks announced that it has acquired a 51% stake in Chintala Sport Pvt Ltd, which is the curator of Telangana Premier Kabaddi League (TPKL).

Silly Monks MD Sanjay Reddy said, “My years at ESPN, Star Sports and Sony Max handling major sports events such as World Cup Cricket, Wimbledon and English Premiere League piqued my interest in sports entertainment. Nurturing a similar property in my home state was but a matter of time and when opportunity struck, Silly Monks was more than interested in being at the core of TPKL."
