How Gujarat Fortunegiants took season 5 final revenge, with Patna Pirates

This was the first encounter between Patna Pirates and Gujarat Fortunegiants after Prokabaddi season 5 final, and Gujarat Fortunegiants brilliant show of attack and defense nailed Patna Pirates. After U Mumba, Giants are the 2nd team qualified for playoffs.  Sachin started the raid and got a point with his brilliant running hand touch while Pardeep Narwal was sent on the bench in his first raid. Patna Pirates could score their first point in the 2nd minute when Prapanjan was sent on the bench by Manjeet's brilliant hold. 

Gujarat Fortunegiants attack led by Sachin and Prapanjan was on fire and did the early damage whereas Patna Pirates raiders were struggling against the Gujarat Fortunegiants organized defense and Giants inflicted the first all-out in the 10th minute and at the stroke of half time Patna Pirates were trailing by 8 points with 20-12 score on board.

In the second half Gujarat Fortunegiants continued the carnage and kept Pardeep Narwal quite and inflicted the 2nd all-out in the 24th minute. Gujarat Fortunegiants brilliant defense with 17 tackles points decimated the attack of Patna Pirates, with 100% strike rate Parvesh Bhaiswal was brilliant through-out the game and scored 8 points, while Sunil added another 3 points.

Patna Pirates defense struggled against Gujarat Fortunegiants attack led by Sachin who scored 10 points in his 17 raid attempts, he was ably supported by K Prapanjan who scored 9 points. In the 38th minute Gujarat Fortunegiants inflicted the 3rd all-out to seal the game and registered a comfortable win against the defending champions with 45-27 final score on board.
