Top 3 Teams in PKL 10: Who can buy Rahul Chaudhari

Rahul Chaudhari, a distinguished figure in the kabaddi domain, has etched his mark as one of the sport's most prolific raiders. Hailing from Bijnor UP, Chaudhari's odyssey from grassroots tournaments to the global stage stands as a testament to his extraordinary abilities and unwavering commitment.

Chaudhari's playing approach seamlessly melds agility, speed, and tactical ingenuity. His raids are defined by rapid, nimble movements, adept footwork, and an extraordinary knack for eluding defenders with remarkable ease.

His expertise in executing the "dubki" maneuver – a sudden crouch to evade tackles – frequently leaves adversaries grasping at air. What truly distinguishes him is his versatility; Chaudhari adeptly tailors his strategy to outmaneuver diverse defensive tactics, rendering him an imposing presence on the playing field.

Chaudhari also possesses a remarkable mental resilience. He thrives under pressure, frequently transforming tense scenarios into opportunities to accrue crucial points for his team.

Despite that factor and maybe because of his age, Jaipur Pink Panthers decided against retaining him for the ground breaking 10th season. The defending champions have retained their core players and it is unlikely that they will use the FBM card on Rahul Chaudhari.

Here are 3 teams that can pick Rahul Chaudhari in Pro Kabaddi League 10 auction -

U Mumba - Although U Mumba secured a 9th-place finish on the league table in the previous season, the team exhibited sporadic instances of excellence while contending with the challenges posed by injuries to their key raider Guman Singh and a subpar performance from Jai Bhagwan.

As they approach the upcoming auction, the team's objective will be to fortify their foundation with technically adept players and implement strategies to maximize player performance throughout the season.

Rahul Chaudhari might fit into U Mumba. He has wealth of experience and can help in grooming the team's young players too. At the moment, Mumba have 6 raiders so, buying raiders might not be that imperative but it will definitely help them.

Patna Pirates - The 3-time champions might have had a disappointing end to last season but they have the prospects of scripting a terrific come back. They could look at Rahul Chaudhari as an option. The Pirates have kept only 3 Raiders in their retained players list with Sachin Tanwar and Neeraj Kumar in the Elite players list.

Defender Manish is the Retained young player while Thiyagarajan Yuvaraj, Naveen Sharma, Ranjit Venkatramana Naik, Anuj Kumar, are all in the Existing young players category.
Alongside Sachin Tanwar, Rahul Chaudhari can play as a 2nd raider. Last season Rahul scored 71 raid points out of 189 total raids. Given his experience again he can be beneficial for the Patna unit.

Telegu Titans - Rahul Chaudhari spent the first 6 years with the Telegu Titans before making a switch to another South Indian outfit Tamil Thalaivas. The Bijnaur born raider scored a total of 876 points for the Titans but was never able to lead them to PKL glory.

With the Titans going into the auction with 3 raiders in disposal, they can look to re-sign Rahul. The kabaddi club have also left out players like Abhishek Singh, Mohsen Maghsoudlou and K Hanumanthu.

The only senior player in the team is Indian national defender Parvesh Bhainswal, who recently won the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 at Busan. Due to the lack of leaders, they can buy Chaudhari at his base price.

The Titans have the 3rd highest purse in the league - INR 3.46 Crores. It should also be noted Rahul Chaudhari's recent few performances have not been that good and he might also end up going unsold. Everything will unfold when the Pro Kabaddi League season 10 auctions take place at Mumbai on September 8 and 9.
