K7 Qualifiers- A Premier National Kabaddi tournament was officially launched in Sonipat Haryana. The offical Curtain Raiser took place on 11th Feb 2021 at Hotel Rajshree, Sonipat. The event was showered by the presence of Coach Mr. Rambir Singh Khokhar, Dronacharya Awardee from Haryana, Mr.RD Kaushik, Head Juror of K7 Qualifiers Tournament and Vikas Gautam, CEO of K7 League. The conference was attended by various coaches and managers from different Kabaddi academies from Haryana. The Brochure of the tournament was unveiled by Mr. Rambir Singh Khokhar along with Mr. RD Kaushik.

Format of the tournament:

K7 qualifiers is a selection tournament for the entry into K7- the League. 16 best Academies from Haryana will fight it out in the K7 Qualifiers to find a place in the main league. Out of these 16 teams, 8 teams will make it to K7s.

Eligibility: Under 21 Age, 75 Kgs and Below

Venue: Khokhar Kabaddi Academy, Anoop Sports Village, Sonipat

Dates: 1st March to 4th March 2021

Vikas Gautam started off the Curtain Raiser by talking about the vision of K7 Qualifers and also spoke about the format of the tournament.

Vikas: "K7 is a community-led tournament dedicated to the well-being and lifelong success of amateur Kabaddi players. The Tournament aims to revolutionize and grow the Kabaddi ecosystem by creating a platform for amateur players, growth opportunity for academies and coaches, a seamless platform for referees and, finally revive Kabaddi as an aspirational sport for young players and fans alike. Our goal is to make Kabaddi as a viable career option for junior players in India."

Dronacharya Awardee Coach RS Khokhar addressed the press and Coaches about the K7 Tournament and the importance of discipline in the sport and how a coach can make the difference by showing the way for the younger Generation. He also spoke about how this tournament can be a very good platform for the young players to come and showcase their skills at a national level.

League's Head Juror Mr. RD Kaushik touched upon the rules, eligibility of players and other technical elements of the league.
