The Office of Chief Postmaster General of Haryana Circle of Department of Posts has invited applications for various posts in the Haryana Postal Circle under sports quota. There are several vacancies for the posts of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Postman/Mail Guard, and Multi Tasking Staff. Meritorious sportspersons in the field of Kabaddi as well as 42 other disciplines can apply for the same.
 
There are a total of 58 vacancies in 11 different units - Ambala, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Rohtak, HR Dn, D Dn, Circle Office, and SBCO. The department has put out a list of the required educational qualifications as well as sports eligibilities which are needed to apply for the posts available. Other information like age limit, pay scale, application procedure, and the application form are also put out in the notification.
 
The office of the Chief Postmaster has also put out a list of 43 sports that qualify for the appointment of meritorious sportspersons. These include Kabaddi, Archery, Athletics, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Boxing, Badminton, Bridge, Chess, Swimming, Table Tennis, Wrestling, and Football among others.

Here is the list of criteria which a sportsperson should fulfill to be eligible to apply for the vacancies:
 
1. Sportsmen should have represented a state of the country in a national or international competition in the mentioned sports.
2. Sportsmen should have represented their university in the Inter-university Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the sports/games.
3. Sportsmen should have represented the State School Teams in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in games/sports.
4. Sportsmen who have been awarded the National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
 
The sportsmen will have to provide a certificate to prove their participation in tournaments of various levels. The list of the authority for handing out certificates for respective tournaments has been also given in the notification.
