Cheralathan, Shrikant Jadhav to highlight All India Railway Men's Kabaddi Championship 2019

Veteran Kabaddi player Dharmaraj Cheralathan will be one of the highlight players for the upcoming 69th All India Railway Men's Kabaddi Championship, Gorakhpur. The tournament will get underway from 19th December and go on till the 22nd of December 2019. Organized by North Eastern Railways at their headquarters in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, the four-day tournament will see 14 railway divisions compete against each other to lay their hands on the prestigious trophy.

Indian Railways Team

Cheralathan is a part of the South Central Railway Sports Association and will be leading the team yet again. They are the defending champion of the tournament and would be eager to lift the trophy one more time. South Central Railway announced their 12 man squad for the tournament. Here is a list of all the players.

The team will also feature Siddharth Desai, the Telugu Titan's player for the Pro Kabaddi. Desai was named the Pro Kabaddi Best Debutant for the 2018 season while playing for U Mumba. Eventually, he was bought by Telugu Titans in the next season and became the costliest player in the history of PKL. He finished the Pro Kabaddi 2019 as the highest raid point scorer for Telugu Titans in a single season when he went on to pick 217 points.

UP Yoddha raider Shrikant Jadhav will be playing for the Central Railway Sports Association this year. They had finished as the semifinalists last year after they lost to North Eastern Railway 38-18. Have a look at the full squad:
