Match two of Pool B was another one-sided affair as Narwal Sports Academy outshines their counterpart Narwal Golden club by 17 points courtesy of their defense who proved to be the differentiator, leaving Himanshu Surajmal to fight the lone battle.
This match was turning out to be a thriller of a contest as both teams started very solid as neither of them was willing to put a wrong foot and at one point it very difficult to separate them on points as the scoreline read 13-13, but a moment of brilliance by Manish Gulia to solo tackle the best raider of the opposition in Himanshu turned the fortunes for Narwal Sports Academy as they went on to build a healthy lead by inducing an all-out just after that, which led the scoreline to read 27-19 at the halfway mark.
The left corner defense of Narwal Golden Club was found wanting as they were leaking easy points regularly to the raiders of Narwal Sports Academy, whereas Narwal Sports Academy was really tight with their defense as they were the architect behind pulling off three all-outs for the team.
The match was going downhill for Narwal Golden Club as in the last few minutes of the match the scoreline was onesided in favor of Narwal Sports Academy reading 50-25, but a sudden surge of energy led by Himanshu show Narwal Golden Club outplaying their counterparts but sadly that was just too late to catch-up on the lead, though taking nothing away from their efforts as they brought down the lead to 57-40 at the end, giving Narwal Sports Academy a scare and forcing them to slow down the play.
A valiant effort by Himanshu Surajmal(20 points) but the player, the best DoD raider, and the best raider of the match were rightfully awarded to Manjeet(21 points) of the Narwal Sports Academy. Whereas, Mohit Narwal (6 points) was awarded the best defender of the match.
Narwal Sports Academy would like to continue to winning momentum in their next match where they face Deepak Niwas Hooda Foundation today(28/07/2021) at 08:00 P.M., whereas Narwal Golden Club has to brush aside this loss and find a winning strategy in their next encounter where they face Warriors Arena Academy tomorrow(29/07/2021) at 10:00 A.M.
