Maharashtra announce boys kabaddi teams for Khelo India 2020

Maharastra state announced their squads for the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games 2020 which are all set to take place in Guwahati. The games are all set to begin from the 10th of January and will go on till 22nd January. Khelo India 2020 will feature Kabaddi for Under-17 and Under-21 girls and boys. Maharashtra has announced the list of boys' teams who will participate in Guwahati in January.

Maharashtra is the defending champions at the Khelo India Youth Games 2019 having won a total of 228 medals. They had won 85 gold, 62 silver, and 81 bronze medals. In the inaugural edition of the Khelo India Youth games in 2018, Maharashtra had finished in second place with 111 medals in total. 

With the Puneri Paltan star Pankaj Mohite in the Under-21 team, Maharashtra will be looking to clinch the gold medal at the upcoming event. Mohite made his PKL debut for the Paltans in Pro Kabaddi 2019 and went on to score a total of 113 points from 16 matches. He was the second-highest points scorer for them after Manjeet. Pankaj will be accompanied by his Puneri Paltan colleague Shubham Shinde for the Khelo India Youth Games 2020. 

Khelo India Youth Games 2020 will be the third edition of the tournament having launched in 2018. With a total of 20 sporting events set to take place over the 13 day period, it will see more than 10000 athletes participate.
