BIO
Perhaps it will not be wrong to say that kabaddi runs in his veins because even his uncle was a kabaddi player. Making a debut with Gujarat Fortune Giants in season 7, Abhishek Chillar plans to continue a legacy following his elder brother and cousin.

Playing as a left raider in Gujarat Fortune Giants, his journey started a little early than his contemporaries. 5 years ago, he never thought that kabaddi could receive such a positive response. At the age of 8, he was trained to excel at state level competitions and compete for national championships.

Being taken to the make-shift court at an early stage developed an interest in him to take this as a serious sport. His love for the sand certainly made a difference in his performance. Since then, it became his routine to practice at the Chillar Club, Delhi. Here, almost 90 to 100 children learn and master the art of their game.

However, his roots have largely shaped him as a player of repute. Born in a small town near Delhi, the sport recognized his abilities and rewarded him for the same. With these gains, he plans on to invest in the Chillar Club, making it a world-class facility for formal training and create establishments in villages where the talent doesn?t flourish due to the shortage of facilities.

Moreover, he aims to continue working harder and envisions to represent India in the Asian games. Finding his role model in his elder brother, Rohit Chillar, Abhishek seems to be excited for his new stint with an entirely different team that eliminates hierarchy and plays to win.
