The dates for the selection trials of Kabaddi for Sports Authority of India (SAI), Hyderabad were announced by the officials last week. The selection trials for boys will be held for the sport of Kabaddi will on the 29th and 30th of January 2020. Apart from Kabaddi, the trials are also being held for sports like Archery, Athletics, Hockey, and Gymnastics.

The deputy director of SAI put out a notification with the details about the criterion for attending the selection trials as well as the detailed schedule for the same. For Kabaddi, the selected players will be given support for residential training for the year 2020-21. A detailed battery of tests will be given to all the players who come to attend the trials for Kabaddi.

The trials will be held at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad on the above-mentioned dates. In what would be a thorough inspection, the players have been asked to attend the trials in full kits on the respective dates.

The following are criteria for being eligible to attend the selection trials. The player is eligible even if one of the criteria is fulfilled.

1. The player should be between the ages of 12-18 years.
2. He should have finished at least in 4th position in the Sub Junior or Junior National competitions.
3. He should have finished at least 2nd position in the All India University Tournament organized by AIU and SGFI Nationals.
4. He should have participated in the State Level Championships
5. He should have finished at least 2nd position in the Khelo India Competition.
6. He should have represented India at the international level.

The officials have also put out a list of documents required for the selection trials. The players are required to bring all the documents with them along with a minimum of one photocopy.

2. Age proof (Date of Birth certificate)
3. SSLC/SSC Mark Sheets
4. Medical Fitness certificates
5. Five passport size photos
6. ID Proof (Aadhar Card/Nativity Certificate, etc)
