The village Malakpur is famous for successful wrestlers, there are Arjuna Awardee wrestlers who belong to this village.

India is scheduled to compete at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. It will be India's 18th appearance at the Asian Games.
