Karnataka Kabaddi Association to organize Karnataka Pro Kabaddi

Karnataka Amateur Kabaddi Association and South Canara District Amateur Association have come up with the new Karnataka Pro Kabaddi for the players of Karnataka. Both the associations have collaborated to organize a eight day tournament in Mangalore for the Kabaddi players of the state. With eight teams to take part in the tournament, it will take place in the Nehru Stadium in Mangalore.

The dates have not been finalized by the organizers but the sources say that the tournament will be held sometime in the last week of February 2020. Karnataka Pro Kabaddi will have more than 100 players participating in the tournament across eight teams. 

Karnataka Pro Kabaddi Prize Money

To attract more players and encourage the sport, the organizers have kept attractive prize money for the winners. The winning team of the tournament will get a sum of Rs. 500,000 while the runner-ups will be given Rs. 300,000. The two semifinalists will win a prize money of Rs. 150,000 each.
The players will also be given incentives to encourage them to play the sport. Every icon player will be paid Rs. 100,000 while Grade 'A' and 'B' players will be paid Rs. 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.

A special provision has been kept for the emerging players where the Grade 'C' player will be paid Rs. 15,000 and Gradde 'D' players will be paid Rs. 10,000.

Karnataka Pro Kabaddi Selections

The selections for the emerging players between the age group of 16 to 21 years, the association has announced the selection to be done on 13th and 14th December 2019. The players should be born between the dates 1st January 1998 (1/1/1998) and 31st December 2003 (31/12/2003). The weight limit for these players have been kept at 75kgs.

For the 'A' and 'B' Grade players, the selection will be done on 15th December 2019. While here is no restrictions on the age limit for the players, the weight limit has been set to 85 kgs.

All the selections will take place at the Shree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore from morning 8:30 AM on the given dates.
