India's Kabaddi team asserted their dominance by emerging victorious in the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 held in Busan, South Korea. The Indian squad outplayed Iran in the final, securing a remarkable 42-32 victory and claiming the Asian title for an unprecedented 8th time.

No other team in Asia has achieved this feat, with Iran being the sole exception, having won the championship only once two decades ago in Kangar, Malaysia. India's consistent success highlights their unparalleled dominance in international Kabaddi and here are the Top 3 Indian Raiders in the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023. 

Pawan Sehrawat

Pawan Sehrawat experienced an exceptional campaign in the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023. His explosive skills and agility were on the mat entertained all of us and he was just not the best raider of the tournament but he was also the most crucial member of Ashan Kumar. He captained India 4 times including the Final.

In numbers: Pawan Sehrawat went for a total of 69 raids in the tournament. He scored 35 touch points and 7 bonus points, taking his Raiding tally to 42 points. He also contributed in the defense, amassing 4 tackle points. On an average, Pawan Sehrawat took 9.2 points per match and had a 61% of success rate in 6 matches. 

Sachin Tanwar

Although Sachin Tanwar started only one game (most of his appearances came as a substitute) but whenever he was chipped into the match he made a major difference. He was mostly brought on during the 2nd halves and his numbers below speak for themselves. 

His remarkable raiding skills saw him collect a total of 41 raid points out of 44 raids. Moreover, Sachin Tanwar had a better success rate than Pawan Sehrawat himself. Tanwar had a 93% of success rate in raiding and on an average he collected 8.2 points in 5 games. 

Aslam Inamdar

23-year-old Maharashtra born raider Aslam Inamdar was India's 3rd best raider. The youngster with his speed and precision became a key asset for his team, earning recognition for his impressive performances.

In Numbers: Inamdar collected a total of 40 points in which he had 27 touch points, 9 Bonus points and 4 defense points. Out of 72 raids, Aslam won 36 points, picking 8 points on average per match and had a 50% of success rate.
