Haryana, SAI and UP start off their Junior National Campaign with huge wins! || Girls' Day 1 Summary

The 47th Junior National Kabaddi Championship went underway at Suryapet, Telengana on 22nd March 2021. The event started off on a sorry note as a stand at the venue collapsed, the horrific incident saw more than 50 people injured and were rushed to the hospital. Kabaddi Adda along with the Kabaddi fraternity pray for the people injured at Suryapet.

Day 1 of the marque event for Junior players in the country saw 6 matches each in the boys' and girls' section where most of the games were an one sided affair.

The Action unfolded in the girls' section with defending Championship Haryana facing off against J & K. The game turned out to be an one sided affair in all possible ways. Haryana were all over J & K with scores reading 74-12. The Home team Telengana faced off against last year runners up SAI where the latter won the game comfortably with scores of 70-23. Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand played out a relatively close game compared to other games from the day as UP won the game with scores of 50-31. Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh also secured big wins against Odisha, Sikkim and Pondicherry respectively.

  • Match 1- Haryana vs J & K: 74-12

  • Match 2- SAI vs Telangana: 70-23

  • Match 3- Chandigarh vs Pondicherry: 53-18

  • Match 4- Uttar Pradesh vs Uttarkhand- 50-31

  • Match 5- Himachal Pradesh vs Sikkim: 49-24

  • Match 6- Delhi vs Odisha: 42-19


Day two of the 47th Junior Nationals Kabaddi Championship promises to be an action packed day with lot of league matches still yet to be played.
