The hole in Patna Pirates | Pro Kabaddi 8 Auctions

There is one big hole in the Patna Pirates squad. The team has finally let go of their lead raider who took them to three consecutive Championships at the Pro Kabaddi League. After 5 seasons of being able to build teams around the outrageous and fantastic Pardeep, can the Pirates recover from not having him at a throwaway price or hope to discover the next Pardeep?

Patna Pirates have retained Neeraj Kumar and Monu. Monu is a utility player through the season, but can you build a full season on the back of young Monu being a key raider in the outfit?

Their defense was leaky in season 7, but Neeraj played multiple roles throughout the season. They need to build a strong defense around him and that will be a challenge.

To make things tougher none of their retained NYPs have match-winner track records even in the local tournaments. So building a full squad in an auction where most teams have 2 FBM cards will be a tough one. Proven players will only be available at a premium. Coach Ram Mehar Singh has often depended on getting solid picks from the Services that the rest of the coaches or management aren’t aware of. However, that trend may not exist anymore with sites like Kabaddi Adda, bringing more Kabaddi data online.

Will they be able to FBM Pardeep Narwal or will the final price be well out of their budget for their icon. They are shopping for 6 out of 7 starting positions. For now, only backup raiding is sorted for them currently. Re-building is never easy, and Patna has decided to take the tough step.
