5 Reasons Why UP Yoddha lost the match against Gujarat FortuneGiants

1. UP Yoddha seemed like they just turned up with absolutely no plan against the Giants.

2. Gujarat's other debutant defender the right corner had a great game against the quality left raiders.

3. Gujarat covers dominated the game with Parvesh getting 6 tackle points.

4. UP raiders had no plan B - in the first 30 min of the game they had only 1 touch point.

5. Rohit Gulia & GB more delivered when it mattered most.

The initial few minutes of the first half saw both teams struggling to get raid points before there was a shift of momentum as Sachin Tanwar from FortuneGiants started things off followed by Monu Goyat and Rohit Gulia each getting bonus points for their respective teams.

As the match proceeded further Ankit and GB More worked their magic on the right corner chain of the defense, getting their first tackle point of the day putting Monu Goyat on the bench. Sachin  continued to target the left corner debutant Sumit on his way to completing 300 successful raids in his PKL career. UP Yoddha were down to one man, Nitesh Kumar in the 12th minute of the game handing Rohit Gulia the All Out and the Gujarat FortuneGiants took a 19 - 9 lead into the break.

The start of the 2nd half was thrilling as UP Yoddha’s defence started to show some organised intent but they were quickly again reduced to just two men on the mat and Rohit Gulia once again came to the party to clean up the defence and execute another ALL-OUT on the Yoddhas. From there, the match was completely dominated by the FortuneGiants as the left cover defender, Parvesh Bhainswal, along with the others pulled out their strong defensive skills and piled on the pressure on the Yoddhas. By the 37th minute, the young talent Rohit Gulia completed his first “ SUPER 10" with fellow team mate Sumit getting his revenge on Shrikant as the Fortunegiants completed their final All-Out. Super-sub, Sonu got in the thick of things and picked up a "Super Raid" too which took Gujarat FortuneGiants’ lead to 25 points to the top of the points table.
