Haryana Steelers take on Jaipur Pink Panthers at Mumbai - Press release

The Haryana Steelers face off against Jaipur Pink Panthers in their third match of the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League in Mumbai on Wednesday, 31 July 2019. The Steelers will be raring to bounce back after a tough loss against Dabang Delhi K.C in their previous match on Sunday.

Naveen was the silver lining for Haryana in the match against Delhi with nine points in the match. He will certainly be looking to continue his good form in the match against Jaipur. The raider expressed that the team will play better against Jaipur.

"This will carry on in the tournament, sometimes we will win, sometimes we will lose. Now we will raise our confidence and play better against Jaipur Pink Panthers," said Naveen.

The 24-year-old was instrumental in Haryana’s victory against Puneri Paltan in their first match of the tournament. Naveen said that he practised well under the coach’s guidance before the competition.

"I had practised well before the tournament, I followed everything the coaches told me during training sessions," said Naveen.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers got the better of Haryana Steelers in each of their three meetings in the last season with scores of 36-33, 38-32 and 39-30 respectively. However, the Dharmaraj Cheralathan-led team have the firepower to improve their record against Jaipur in this season.

The Steelers will have to be wary of the variety of raiders in the Jaipur team. Deepak Niwas Hooda, Nilesh Salunke, Ajinkya Pawar and Deepak Narwal could pose a threat for the Haryana Steelers.

Haryana’s Naveen expressed that all players are good in the Jaipur team, but the Steelers will not face any difficulty while playing against them.

"All players are good in Jaipur. We will decide whom to attack and when to play defensively against certain players. There will no difficulty for us. We will play well against Jaipur," said Naveen.
