Rohtak's M. D. University emerged as the champions of the All India Inter-University Kabaddi Championship 2019. They defeated G.N.D University, Amritsar 47-28 in the finals to lift the trophy. With this win, they also were the only team to remain unbeaten in the whole tournament. They had earlier defeated hosts Mangalore University in the semifinals.

MD University's star players Ashish and Vinay picked up 13 and 7 raid points respectively to dismantle the defense of the opposition. They got a strong support of Surender Gill who got seven points to his name. Their defense of Saurabh Nandal and Anshul got four tackle points each.

Sonu got a Super 10 with 12 raid points while Rinku picked up a High 5 for GND University but it was not enough for them to win the title against the heavyweights of Rohtak. 

M. D. University sailed through the semis after a convincing 45-29 victory against Mangalore University.
