The opening 10 minutes saw Patna’s defense dominate Bengaluru’s raiders. However, the Bulls’ defense was also on point and a Super Tackle on Pardeep Narwal ensured that the score was level at 7-7 after the first quarter of the game. Pardeep found his rhythm soon and cleaned up the defense. Patna took a 13-7 lead after inflicting an All-Out in the 13th minute and extended it to 17-9 a few minutes later after a four-point Super Raid by Pardeep. The half time score was stopped at 16-22.

Pawan Sehrawat’s brilliance in the final moments of the game helped steal victory for the defending champs.

Patna Pirates started the second half with two more super tackles and continued to thrash Bengaluru Bulls’ momentum. The reigning champions though, kept trying and kept calm despite the pressure. The Bulls then scored six unanswered points to make it a three-point game and finally managed to bag an All-Out and cut Patna Pirates’ lead to 37-33 with three and a half minutes remaining. Boosting with confidence, successful raids by Sehrawat and solid defending made it a one-point game in crunch time. A two-point raid by Pawan in the next minute then made it 38-38. Lastly, a successful tackle by the Bulls captain and another successful raid by the Hi-Flyer gave their team the lead and the dramatic win!

Pawan Sehrawat was the hero of the day again with 14 points!
