3. Aman (Bengaluru Bulls)

Playing for Bengaluru Bulls this season, Aman, along with Saurabh Nandal, was among the go-to players in the defensive unit for the team. A key part of Bengaluru's campaign this season, Aman with his performance was quite impressive for the Bulls. The player, playing at left corner, helped Bulls to be in contention for the qualification race.  Aman made a total of 109 tackles for Bengaluru, bagging a total of 52 tackles for the season, at an average strike rate of 54.49%. In addition to this, the player spent an average of 72.23% on the mat, with an average success assist rate of 32%, emerging as one of the key players for Bengaluru going ahead.

 

2. Sumit (UP Yoddha)

Retained by UP Yoddha for 25 lakhs before the season, Sumit was amongst the go-to players in UP's defensive unit. Delivering in crunch situations proved to be the main highlight for Sumit, as the player significantly contributed in the defensive unit, also ensuring that UP also stands out among the teams in terms of its defense. Sumit made a total of 150 tackles, scoring 62 tackle points for UP. The player made a notable contribution, spending an average of 79.05% on the mat, and also having an average assists success rate of 21% for the team, helping the team reach the playoffs.

 

1. MohammadReza Shadloui Chinayeh (Patna Pirates)

Shadloui had a spectacular season with the Patna Pirates, emerging as the top defender in this edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. The player proved to be the X-factor for the team, scoring on a consistent basis and delivering for the team on crucial junctures. Patna emerged as the strongest unit on both the raiding and defensive front this season, and managed to sail through comfortably in the league stage on the back of some brilliant performances from the players. Shadloui made a total of 153 tackles, scoring 89 tackles points for the season. With an average time of 84.02% on the mat and a brilliant 31% average success assists, Shadloui truly was a top performer for the Pirates.
