31st Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship - Day 4 Summary

Haryana reached the finals in both the categories

The 31st sub-junior national kabaddi championship was played at the Mini Stadium Dineshpur in Udham Singh Nagar. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final were played across both boys and girls category. Haryana were the champions in both the categories. Here is a brief summary of the results.

Boys 

Haryana defeated Rajasthan in the final and were victorious in the boys' category. The two teams defeated Chattisgarh and Uttarakhand in the semi-final of the tournament. Rajasthan won the semi-final 43-39. 

Delhi, Bihar, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh were the top 8 teams but failed to make past the quarter-final stages of the tournament. 

Delhi defeated 33-40 Uttarakhand and that was the closest quarter-final of the competition.

Girls

Haryana were crowned champions in the girls category as they defeated Tamil Nadu 29-24. They defeated Uttar Pradesh 29-23 in the semi-final while Tamil Nadu got the better of Delhi by a slim margin of 2 points. 

The quarter-finals were held earlier in the day as Haryana edged out Sports Authority of India by 31-32. Uttar Pradesh defeated Bihar 36-20 in the second quarter-final. Punjab and Uttarakhand were the other losing quarter-finalists.
