Railways Coach Rana Tiwari Analyses How Haryana Steelers beat Puneri Paltan

Haryana and Puneri stayed close early on in the first half where both teams matched each other point by point led by their star raiders Vikas Kandola and Nitin Tomar. Super Tackles from both ends, kept the scores ticking with no team getting the upper hand in either department. But towards the last bit of the first half, two multi-point raids by in-form Vikas Kandola forced an All-Out on Pune and handed over the momentum to Haryana with a cushioning lead of 7 points.

Puneri Paltan had the league’s best average tackle points of 11.4 per match and the Haryana team had an average of 17.8 raid points per match which was quite eminent from the first half of the match.

Haryana Steelers overpowered the Puneri Paltan team in the second half with some exuberant raiding and defensive display. Haryana’s raiding duo of Vinay and Prashanth Kumar Rai were more than able support crew to Kandola, picking up vital points whenever the star raider went out in the second half. Haryana with another All-Out put the last nail in the coffin for Pune with less than 9 minutes left in the match.

Young Pankaj with some positive raids for Pune fetched 7 raid points under his belt. Experienced Dharmaraj Cheralathan marshaled the defensive unit for Haryana Steelers, yet again very well supported by Ravi Kumar handed the Steelers their fourth consecutive victory in the tournament.
