In the previous season even though they were a strong team, they still finished at no.7 in the points table. Before the start of season 9, the Haryana Steelers were able to reach the playoffs two times from the 5th to the 8th season. This was certainly a brilliant way to perform well and make a reputation in the league. But now they need to prove themselves as the champions. For that, it is necessary to build a strong team. How close were the Haryana Steelers in the previous season for qualifying in the playoffs? 

To qualify for the playoffs Haryana needed to win consistently in the last three matches of the season 9. That is because after playing the first 19 matches of the PKL 9, they were in seventh spot. In the next 3 matches, they had to win and collect as many points, to ensure their place in the Playoffs. However, this didn’t happen because they went on to lose all the 3 matches, and finished at the 7th spot in the points table.
