Teams Yet to Reach the Pro Kabaddi League Final

In the Pro Kabaddi League season 10, Puneri Paltan made a name for themselves as the 7th franchise to win the prestigious PKL championship. Their impressive triumph against Haryana Steelers in an enthralling finale on March 1st marked the end of a season packed with excitement and fierce competition on the kabaddi arena at the GMC Balayogi Sports Complex.

Concerning the Puneri Paltan, this win marked their second successive finals appearance, denoting their commitment and determination to be crowned. They had been unlucky last time when they lost to the Jaipur Pink Panthers. But in PKL 10 they made sure that not a bit of effort should go to waste and secured the champion’s crown.

On the other hand, the Haryana Steelers made their first entry in a PKL final, which shows how far they have come and how remarkably they have performed in the league. Despite losing the championship battle, their participation in it reflects their evolution and fighting spirit as a team.

In light of the PKL final, it is significant to point out that 9 out of 12 franchises in the league have had the experience of being finalists. On the other side of the story are yet another three teams who have yet to land on their feet to the final showdown; these are Telugu Titans, Tamil Thalaivas, and UP Yoddhas.

Telugu Titans

Having been one of the foundation teams of the Pro Kabaddi League, the Telugu Titans have had a challenging journey. They have not reached a single stage of finals yet, although they were runners-up in Season 2 and have finished in the top four once again in Season 4. The first round ended on a mediocre note in recent seasons, giving others a chance to show their worth. The conclusion of these three consecutive last places confirms their volatility, but with the leadership appointment of Krishan Kumar Hooda as their new coach, the Titans seem ready for another season that will raise them back to prominence.

Tamil Thalaivas

Tamil Thalaivas, based in Chennai, have gone through a roller-coaster since their first introduction in Season 5. They had a very poor start but they gradually gained experience and got on course. It was in PKL 9 when the team qualified for the playoffs for the first time only to be stopped by Puneri Paltan at the semifinal stage. However, these efforts have not borne fruits as yet.

UP Yoddhas

Featuring talented players such as Pardeep Narwal, Vijay Malik, and Nitesh Kumar among others in their ranks UP Yoddhas has always been a playoff contender since its debut season in Season 5. Nevertheless, it has always been difficult for them to get into that final match. Despite qualifying for the knockout stage in the five seasons they couldn’t go beyond semi-finals twice. This trend persisted as they could not make it to the playoffs during PKL 10 leaving several fans wondering whether there will be some changes in the team composition next season.

As the Pro Kabaddi League keeps on evolving, each new season is accompanied by new stories, challenges and triumphs. When Puneri Paltan celebrates winning a championship, teams like Telugu Titans, Tamil Thalaivas and UP Yoddhas are still determined to make their own success stories in the coming years. In eager anticipation of Season 11 fans wait for the next chapter of this thrilling saga of Pro Kabaddi.
