This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic the School Games Federation of India could not conduct the school game nationals. The state-wise participation of team sports will be announced in the due course by SAI and Khelo India.

The 3rd edition of the Khelo India Youth Games saw the top 8 teams in each category- U-17, and U-21 go head to head. In both the categories, it was Haryana who went on to win the championship proving why they are the Kabaddi hub in the country. In the U-17 category, Maharashtra was the runners-up and in U-21 it was Rajasthan. It will be interesting to see if Haryana can be dethroned this year or they will continue to dominate the Khelo India Games
