PKL 10: How Haryana Steelers are Performing and Where Do They Stand After Four Consecutive Wins?

The Haryana Steelers have been one of the top-performing teams in this season of the Pro Kabaddi League. The Steelers from Haryana began with a huge loss against the UP Yoddhas by 30 points but bounced back in style and have now won their last four matches consecutively. They currently stand in 4th place in the points table with 4 wins and a single loss out of 5 matches. They have 20 points against their name and a score difference of -15, which they will be hoping to make positive soon.

In their opening match of the season, the reason for their embarrassing loss was that the Raiders could not score points. The defenders played their part, but the raiders could not get the opponents’ defenders out, and hence, the match went way beyond their grasp. Mohit Nandal was the best player with five tackle points.

The players learned from their mistakes in the first match and beat the Bengaluru Bulls in the second game with a score of 38-32. Siddharth Desai scored 7 raid points, along with Vinay, who scored eight. Jaideep Dahiya and Mohit, both defenders, scored a high five each as the Haryana Steelers team got their opening points on the board.

In the third match, the Haryana players were up against Dabang Delhi, who are known to be a formidable Kabaddi side. Despite the defenders failing in that match, the Haryana Steelers managed to beat the Delhi franchise by two points as the raiders stepped up. Siddharth Desai got a super 10 and was in top-notch form. He got great support from Ashish and Vinay, who scored seven and five raid points, respectively.

Against Puneri Paltan in the fourth match, the Steelers once again put on a show and won the match by five points, taking their campaign to three wins on the trot. Rahul Sethpal got six tackle points in the match, whereas Jaideep got four. But the main hero was Vinay, who scored a total of 15 points in the match and outshone everyone with his raiding.

Siddharth Desai could not be a part of the team in the fifth match, and hence, Vinay was leading the raiding department. He scored nine raid points and got excellent support from K. Prapanjan, who scored six points. Mohit Nandal led the defensive duties, where he scored a high-five once again.

Vinay has by far been the team’s best player and the find of the season. He has scored 41 points in five matches and is right there among the best raiders this year. Out of the defenders, Mohit Nandal has been the best, scoring 15 tackle points in five games. Jaideep Dahiya and Mohit are right behind him with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

For the Haryana Steelers to make the playoffs and win the PKL 10 trophy, they would need to continue this performance and win matches consecutively while reducing the point difference. The defenders have been doing well since the first game, and the raiders have also picked up form. Vinay has the onus of the raiding department and is now the best player thus far.
