Haryana Won the 33rd National Sub Junior Kabaddi Championship (Girls), Check Who Finished 2nd and 3rd

In the 33rd National Sub Junior Kabaddi Championship (Girls), team Haryana emerged victorious. The final match was a close encounter with Haryana defeating Rajasthan by a mere 2-point margin, the final score was Haryana 35-33 Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Goa and Uttarakhand finished at the 3rd place. 

This championship was organised by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association (BSKA) under the auspices of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI). All the matches of this competition were held between 31st March and 3rd April at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, Bihar.

Talking about the final match of the tournament, both teams Haryana and Rajasthan were showing their A-game, making it difficult to score points against one another. By the time of the first half, Haryana was leading with a 20-13 score. But in the second half, Rajasthan made a strong comeback and levelled the score at 30-30. However, Haryana hold their nerve to win the match by 35-33.

 

Haryana showcased their dominance in the semifinal too. They defeated Goa by a scoreline of 31-24. Rajasthan also made their presence felt by defeating Uttarakhand 52-33. By winning the final Haryana won the Gold medal, whereas as runner-up Rajasthan won the silver medal. Meanwhile, Goa and Uttarakhand, both won the Bronze medal.

The technical officials and others who made this championship successful were not forgotten either, they were also honoured by the association. 

The inauguration of the final match and prize distribution was done by the Principal Secretary of the Sports Department Dr B Rajender, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran,  Pankaj Kumar Raj Director cum Secretary of Bihar State Sports Authority and international Kabaddi players Priyanka Pilaniya and Pooja.

On this special occasion, Dr B Rajender, the Principal Secretary of the Sports Department said that you all played well. You people are the future of the country, and in the coming days, you too will play at the international level.

Priyanka Pilaniya, the vice-captain of Indian women's Kabaddi team said that all of you players should work very hard. There is no other way to move forward except through hard work. Remembering Janardan Singh Gehlot, she said that he has promoted Kabaddi not only in India but in the whole world. She appealed to the people associated with Kabaddi to maintain this respect and take it further.

Raveendran Sankaran, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority, said that Bihar is becoming a sports hub, and in the coming days, big competitions will be held here, and the local players will also raise the name of Bihar at the international level.

Kumar Vijay Singh honoured all the guests by gifting them bouquets, mementoes and shawls. The Principal Secretary of Sports Department, Dr B Rajender, Raveendran Sankaran honoured international Kabaddi players Priyanka Pilniya, Pooja, Rajeev Kumar Singh of Bihar, and Shama Parveen.

Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh said that we are thankful to all of you for coming here. He said that sports are developing rapidly in Bihar. The entire credit for this goes to the coordination between the officials of various associations, the Sports Department and the Bihar State Sports Authority. Everyone is working together to take it forward.
