Kabaddi Schedule for the year 2020

The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has put out a tentative schedule of the Kabaddi tournaments to be held in the year 2020. In a Special General Body Meeting held earlier in New Delhi, the Kabaddi 2020 calendar was decided upon and state administrations were given the responsibilities to make sure the tournaments are held in their respective regions. The meeting saw a participation of 25 representatives from 15 Kabaddi associations in the country.

Senior Nationals

The year will start with the Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship to be held in the last week of January 2020. The boys and the girls' tournament will be held in either Indore, Ujjain, or Harda. Madhya Pradesh Amateur Kabaddi Association volunteered to organize the tournament in their state with the help from AKFI.

February will see the Junior National Kabaddi Championship being played in the state of Haryana. While the venue has not been finalized yet, both boys and girls tournament is likely to be played in Gurgaon, Panchkula or Sonipat. The 46th Junior Nationals will be held from 13th to 16th February 2020.

March will be filled with Kabaddi action as three big tournaments are scheduled to take place in the whole month. The 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championship will see the champion kabaddi players in action in Jaipur. The likes of Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, Shrikant Jadhav and Mohit Chillar will be on the mat as top kabaddi teams in the country will be set to participate in the tournament. The men's matches are scheduled to take place from 3rd to 6th March.

Delhi State Kabaddi Association will organize the Senior Federation Cup for men and women in Delhi in March 2020. The Junior Federation Cup will be held in Sonbhadra for boys and girls in the same month. The three tournaments could be a platform for the players to showcase their talent as the Pro Kabaddi Auctions could be the next thing on the calendar.

The Beach Kabaddi National Championship will be held in Uttarakhand, with no clear dates being finalized yet. Punjab Kabaddi Association has been handed with the responsibility of organizing the Circle Style Kabaddi National Championship. The dates for both the tournaments will be announced later.
