Jasveer Singh Biography| PKL Season 10| UP Yoddha's Squad

Jasveer Singh, a distinguished figure in the realm of professional kabaddi, was born on November 12, 1975, in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. His introduction to the sport began in the early 1990s, marking the commencement of his journey to master the intricacies of kabaddi at a professional level. Born to Brahma Singh and Kamlesh Devi, Jasveer's early years were shaped by a passion for kabaddi that would define his career.

Playing Career:

In pursuit of honing his skills, Jasveer Singh joined the Army team in Hyderabad in 1995, under the guidance of his coach, BP Sirohi. It was in this formative period that he not only refined his game but also garnered invaluable experience that would later become instrumental in his success as both a player and a coach. His dedication and prowess on the kabaddi mat earned him a spot in the Services team in 1998, where he contributed significantly to the team's triumph, securing a gold medal in a marquee event.

From 1998 to 2007, Jasveer continued to be a stalwart in the Services team, showcasing his excellence in various capacities on the kabaddi court. His remarkable contributions as a player laid the foundation for a seamless transition into the realm of coaching, a facet of his career that commenced in 2009. Coaching Career & Awards:

In 2018, after retiring from the Army, Jasveer Singh took on the role of coach for the UP Yoddha's, marking a significant chapter in his coaching career. In his inaugural season as coach, he led the team to the playoffs, displaying a blend of strategic acumen and leadership prowess.

Under his guidance, many players prepared to be a star- like Surender Gill, Sumit Sangwan, Ashu Nagar, Subham Baliyan, Rohit Tomar, Anil, Shivam Choudhary, Gulbir.

Jasveer's journey was not without its challenges, as the team faced initial setbacks with a series of losses. However, his resilience and tactical brilliance guided the team to a remarkable turnaround, securing victories and ultimately clinching a spot in the top four of the marquee event.

Jasveer's coaching acumen did not go unnoticed, and he received accolades for his outstanding contributions, including an award from the Chief of Army Staff. The recognition underscored his commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire and lead a team to success. As the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League season 10 approaches, all eyes are on Jasveer Singh and his brilliant UP Yoddha's squad, as they aim to make a resounding impact in the highly anticipated tournament.
