Murthal Magnets secured victory in the inaugural season of the Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series

The Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur witnessed an interesting conclusion to the inaugural Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024 on 26 February. In a tough war, Murthal Magnets emerged victorious defeating Himalayan Tahrs with a score of 28-21.

This match marked a big milestone for women's kabaddi in India and offered a platform for young girls to showcase their skills. After a competitive league stage and intense knock-out matches, Murthal Magnets and Himalayan Tahrs found themselves in the finals.

The Magnets produced a dominant overall performance throughout the match, Nikita leading his charge with an excellent 9 points which included 7 touch-points and 2 bonus-points. Kavita and Dipti also contributed significantly to 5 and 5 points respectively. Sunita Kulria and Manisha performed essential defensive roles and claimed a combined 4 points.

 

Despite a valiant effort by the Himalayan Tahrs, the Magnets maintained a consistent lead. Pushpa Rana appeared as the top scorer for Tahrs with 8 points closely followed by Kritika and Dimple Ramlal who contributed 3 points each. However, their efforts were not enough to conquer the ambitious Magnets.

The inaugural season of the Yuva Kabaddi Women's Series was a huge success and showed the mammoth expertise and passion we find in women's kabaddi. The very last match provided a fitting conclusion, leaving the target market and fans in awe of the athleticism and skills displayed by each team.
