Pardeep Narwal's UP Yoddhas Complete Performance Analysis in PKL Season 10

The UP Yoddhas, who have not been anywhere near the Pro Kabaddi League trophy till now, have once again built a strong roster and have begun their season 10 campaign with the hopes of lifting that trophy this year. In their two matches thus far in the league this year, the Yoddhas from U.P. have won one fixture and lost the other. They are placed fifth in the league standings with 6 points against their name and the best score difference among all the other teams as of now of +27.

UP Yoddhas might have started with a loss but made a sensational comeback in the subsequent match. The Yoddhas’ third match of the tournament will be against the Telugu Titans on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 9:00 p.m. IST at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru.

The Yoddhas began their campaign against the U Mumba, where they lost the match with a score difference of three points and a total scoreline of 31-34 in favour of the U Mumba. The main reason for that loss was that their captain, Pardeep Narwal, could not score even a single point in the match.

Surender Gill, Vijay Malik, and Anil Kumar stepped up in the absence of Pardeep and got 7, 5, and 7 points, respectively, to ensure that the team’s scoreboard kept ticking. Their left cover defender, Harendra Kumar, had a match to forget as he got 0 tackle points, the all-rounder Nitin Panwar was the best defender with 3 points to his name.

In their second match, the Yoddhas were on song and annihilated the Haryana Steelers, beating them by a huge margin of 30 points (57-27). Pardeep Narwal took no time to get among the points and finished the match with a super 10 and 12 raid points. Surender Gill complemented Pardeep brilliantly and gathered around 13 raid points, making his mark on the biggest stage.

The defenders also picked up some form in that match, as the left corner defender, Sumit, scored eight tackle points, Nitesh Kumar scored four, and Gurdeep also scored a high-five. It was a complete team performance, with all the players contributing their parts.

The UP team has three phenomenal raiders Pardeep Narwal, Surender Gill, and Vijay Malik. Vijay has not performed according to expectations yet this season, but we are sure that he will be up to his absolute best whenever the team needs him. The defence played poorly in the initial game but picked up form in the second one, and the coach and the management would like to see the defenders playing like this only.

Usually, in Kabaddi, when one department of your team does well, the other department gets confidence from it and follows the lead. Hence, the UP Yoddhas will be once again hoping that their raiders start the match with an absolute bang against the Hyderabad franchise, and it helps the defenders to avoid advanced tackles and play with a sense of maturity using the experience of playing in such a high-profile league.
