PKL 10: Top 3 Tamil Thalaivas Raiders to watch out for in Pro Kabaddi League 2023

Tamil Thalaivas have assembled one of the biggest squads for the ground breaking 10th season of Pro Kabaddi League. The South Indian outfit did not make enough news as they did during the player auction for Season 9.

Last year they had made Pawan Sehrawat the most expensive player ever in Pro Kabaddi League by paying INR 2.26 Crores but Pawan sustained a season ending injury in only his first match as Tamil Thalaivas.

That left them a little helpless but Ashan Kumar's side managed to qualify for the play-offs. In Season 10, reaching the knockouts will of course be their main agenda but this time it will also be about entering the Finals.

And before we find that out, here are the Top 3 Raiders to watch out from Tamil Thalaivas in PKL 10.

Narender Kandola: If someone stood up and did the job for Thalaivas last year then it was without a doubt Narender Kandola. He finished as Tamil's highest scoring raider but what felt more special was that he actually did a very good job while filling the big shoes of Pawan Sehrawat.

It was also his debut PKL season and we must appreciate the beauty of the league that gave him the chance to score 243 raid points in 23 total matches. On an honest note, the likes of Pawan, Maninder Singh, Pardeep Narwal, Vikas Kandola and Naveen Kumar did not score 200 raid points and therefore Narender's development will be an interesting one to watch.

His Raid point average was at a fantastic 10.57 with a Strike rate of 60% and also collected 15 Super 10s, 4 Super Raids.

Ajinkya Pawar: Another honest opinion is that Narender too could not have done it alone and it was the Maharashtra born raider Ajinkya Pawar who supported the team. Pawar served as the 2nd raider to Narender and the former had a pretty decent as well playing that role.

He scored 130 raid points in 22 matches in what was his 2nd season with Thalaiavas. His performance and raid points improved last season as he looked more and mature and developed. Ajinkya also had 3 Super 10s and 3 Super raids each. He will not look for anything else than touching the 200 raid point mark.

Satish Kannan: Thalaivas bought Yuva Kabaddi Series prospect Satish Kannan for 18.10 Lakhs and strengthened attacking depth. The 22-year-old appeared during the YKS Winter edition 2022, scoring 52 raid points in 91 raids.

That means an average of 10.4 with a raid strike rate of 57.14%. This is a good sign for Thalaivas as they have a young raiding department which is experienced on its own.
