Top 5 players who can go for big money in PKL 10 Auction

The much awaited groundbreaking season 10 of Pro Kabaddi League takes place this winter but all the 12 teams are going to have an hectic Autumn period when the Auctions at Mumbai get under way.

The stakes are as high as ever. With PKL getting a decade old, the trophy has not lost its shine. Teams are still fighting and bruising their way through to win it and for a fact, a lot of teams and a lot of players will have a lot to prove.

Some players will be looking to regain their form while some teams will look to land their maiden Pro Kabaddi league trophy. Half of the teams (6/12) in the league haven't won India's top-tier Kabaddi league and in order for them to become contenders, Head coaches and team managements' will have to pull off a decent auction.

Gujarat Giants, Telegu Titans, Tamil Thalaivas, Puneri Paltan, Haryana Steelers and UP Yoddhas will be out searching their first trophy while Patna Pirates, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Dabang Delhi, U Mumba, Bengal Warriors and Bengaluru Bulls will hope to add another silverware.

As the auction proceeds, Kabaddi Adda will bring forth more and more updates and here we will find out the Top 5 players who are expected to attract plenty of interest during the Player auction.

Pawan Sehrawat: The 27-year-old remains one of the most talked about and in demand Raider despite sustaining a season ending injury last season in what was his first outing as the most expensive entity ever in the competition's history.

One of the main reasons for his strong demand in Pro Kabaddi League 10 auctions is that he is a "Pack Leader" and a Raider endowed with a blend of agility, tactics and boasts a total of 1037 Raid points since season 3.

Bengal Warriors, Gujarat Giants, Telegu Titans and Haryana have the best chances of signing him "financially" but there are at least more than 4 teams who are searching for a leader and an impeccable raider.

Maninder Singh: Mighty Mani's exclusion from the Bengal Warriors squad might have raised plenty of eyebrows but there remains chances of him going back to Season 7 winners through one of their 3 Final Bid Match card.

At 33-years of age, Maninder Singh is somehow heading towards the ending phases of his career but he still has a lot to contribute. His recent video on social media, where he was seen working out effortlessly only indicates that he is more than ready for the 10th season.

Under Maninder's captaincy, Bengal Warriors suffered a major crash and finished 11th in the standings last year. Bengal's depressing season took the glow off Maninder's individually sensational season, collecting 238 Raid points in 21 matches. Teams like Telegu Titans, Haryana Steelers, Gujarat Giants, Dabang Delhi and Patna Pirates can end up having a bidding war for Maninder Singh.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh: When Patna Pirates secured the services of Iranian All-rounder, they had to get into a tug of war for the player. The 3-time winners paid INR 31 Lakhs for Shadloui, making him the 5th most expensive All-rounder in PKL history.

He was a major revelation in his debut season as he became the Best defender with 86 successful tackle points with Patna finishing on top of the Standings. Last year, Chiyaneh kept his form in tact, becoming the 2nd best defender with 7 tackle points.

Despite his form, Chiyaneh has been released and is set to go under the hammer during the auctions on September.

Fazel Atrachali: Another Iranian that could be on high demand is Pro Kabaddi League's most expensive foreign recruitment Fazel Atrachali. During the Auction for season 9, Puneri Paltan bagged his services after paying out an amount of around 1.37 Crores.

He captained a young Puneri side which somehow lacked big names. His defensive prowess and leadership skills helped Paltan appear in their first ever Finale. Even though Puneri Paltan thwarted that opportunity and lost to Jaipur Pink Panthers, Fazel Atrachali's role was very significant.

The 31-year-old became PKL's most successful defender last season and overtook the Iconic Manjeet Chillar in that exclusive list. Atrachali has a total of 424 tackles points in 146 matches for U Mumba, Patna Pirates, Gujarat Giants and Puneri Paltan.

Vikas Khandola: The 5th player that is set to be in high demand is Haryana born raider Vikas Khandola. The 25-year-old was Season 9's 2nd most expensive player as Bengaluru Bulls bagged his services after winning the bid war for INR 1.70 Crores.

He was brought in as a like-for-like replacement for outgoing Pawan Sehrawat but eventually played as a second raider in the Bengaluru Bulls team under Randhir Singh Sehrawat. He amassed 135 raid points last season and had relatively off season as compared to his stats from previous seasons.

Vikas is yet to reach his peak and he is a player who can be invested for the future. Bengaluru do have an option of matching any given bid for him but a lot of teams will be aiming to land the player.

So these were our pick of 5 players who are expected to fire a bidding war but other than him players like Siddharth Desai, Surjeet Narwal, Vishal Bhardwaj among others might also go for a high price.
