Dabang Delhi K.C: PKL 10 Retained and Released players list

Pro Kabaddi League's Capital city outfit Dabang Delhi KC might have raised a few eyebrows after their list of retained and released players came out but the management knows exactly what they are doing. They have been among the best teams in Pro Kabaddi League for the last 3 years.

It did take them 5 years to enter the knockout stages of the tournament and since Season 6, it will be fair to say that Dabang Delhi KC have been a force. A 3rd place finish in Group A in PKL 6 followed by their maiden appearance in the final before winning it all during Season 8.

As defending champions, Dabang Delhi KC opened season 9 with a fierce intent but were eventually brought back to the ground due to injuries and out of form players.

And that's why ahead of the revolutionary 10th edition of Pro Kabaddi League, which is giving teams enough flexibilty to flirt with different options, Dabang Delhi KC have decided to retain 5 players, all of them in the Young players category and none in Elite players list.

They have included 4 Raiders and 1 defender. Club Captain and PKL's 6th highest scoring raider Naveen Kumar is in the retained list while Manjeet, Ashish Narwal, Suraj Panwar and Vijay Kumar are in the Existing young players category.

It is also to be noted that Dabang Delhi KC will be out in PKL 10 with a new Head coach and Assistant coach. Both of them are huge names in Indian as well as world kabaddi. After parting ways with Krishan Kumar Hooda, the man who led them to glory in PKL 8, Dabang Delhi quickly brought 2-time Asian Kabaddi championship & 1-time Kabaddi world cup winning coach with India, Rambir Singh

The Dronacharya awardee will find PKL legend Ajay Thakur as his assistant, someone who has also played for the Capital-based Kabaddi club. With their own method of infusing youth with experience getting them good returns, Rambir Singh and Ajay Thakur will have a tougher task to do.

Exclusion of defenders like Sandip Dhull and Krishan Dhull is a tricky decision but they will have an FBM card to use. Raider Ashu Malik is another name that played well for them and hopefully Rambir Singh and co. can pull off a decent player auction.

PKL 10 Player auction is slated for 2 days - 8th and 9th September at Mumbai. And the groundbreaking season will start from December 7 onwards.
