Dabang Delhi's Rollercoaster Ride, Can They Sustain the Momentum for PKL 10 Glory?

Dabang Delhi sitting in the 2nd position in the PKL 10 points table, has come out as one of the most formidable teams. Delhi started their campaign with a loss against Tamil Thalaivas. But as their name states 'Dabang', they made a strong comeback even without their star player Naveen Kumar. The team of coach RS Khokhar has not lost any game in their last 5 outings, however, they played a tie. With 40 points in total 11 games, winning 7 and losing just 3, Dabang Delhi has made a strong statement.

In the first game of their season, Dabang Delhi was not in their top-notch form as a result they lost the game against Thalaivas by 11 points. Delhi's Express raider Naveen Kumar was the single gladiator for the team scoring a fantastic Super 10 (Total 14 points). But his efforts fell short and didn't get any support from his team. In the second game, they bounced back from their defeat and beat Bengaluru Bulls by 7 points (Delhi 38-31 Bulls). Naveen Kumar once again shone with 13 points.

Next, in the third battle Delhi faced another defeat by mere 2 points against Haryana Steelers (Delhi 33-35 Haryana). Once again Naveen Express has played the role of single gladiator and scored a brilliant Super 10 (Total 16 points). In the match against Telugu Titans Naveen and Ashu Malik scored their Super 10 and helped Delhi beat Titans 51-40. Even after the victory, Dabang Delhi fans were not happy because their star raider Naveen had dealt an injury.

In the absence of Naveen, Delhi stumbled against Puneri Paltan and faced a crushing defeat of 30-23. Then for the next match against Bengal Warriors, Naveen made a comeback and took his team to victory. But fate has another plan for the star raider as in the very next game against Jaipur Pink Panthers Naveen got seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital with the help of an ambulance during the game. In that game, Delhi managed to play a tie.

After Naveen's injury, Ashu Malik filled his shoe effectively and took his team to victory single-handedly. They have defeated UP Yoddhas, Gujarat Giants, Patna Pirates, and U Mumba. In defence, Delhi has the young duo of Yogesh and Ashish. Both have been brilliant and stepped up when their team needed them the most. They have also done some superb super tackles to get their team out of difficult situations.

If Delhi wants to win this season, they need to continue their current form. With Ashu Malik at the helm, Delhi is sure to be one of the fierce contestants to win the trophy. So, buckle up fans as Dabang Delhi is ready to rock the mat.
