PKL 10: Joginder Narwal replaces Ajay Thakur as new Assistant Coach of Dabang Delhi K.C

Ahead of the landmark 10th season of Pro Kabaddi League, Season 8 winners Dabang Delhi K.C have undergone a slight change in their management as head coach Rambir Singh Khokhar now has a new assistant coach replacing legend Ajay Thakur.

Joginder Narwal has taken over as the assistant of RS Khokhar in the Dabang Delhi camp. It was only last month when Ajay Thakur sat down at the Auction table to complete the squad of the team.

But a few weeks later, Thakur had to relinquish his position due to his commitment to Himachal Pradesh government. In case you didn't know, Ajay is currently serving as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Himachal.

He has been holding the position since 2017 and he last played in the Pro Kabaddi League when Dabang Delhi won its maiden PKL title (Season 8). He was expected to bring in an extra edge in the raiding department due to his proficiency in it as a player.

But with Joginder Narwal coming in, Dabang Delhi K.C will get another defensive perspective from his side. Narwal himself was left-corner during his playing days and he was in fact a part of the Haryana Steelers last season, playing just 8 games.

He made his debut in the Pro Kabaddi League in 2015 (Season 2) with the Bengaluru Bulls before moving to Puneri Paltan (season 4), U Mumba (Season 5). Joginder spent 3 season with Delhi from Season 6-8. He won the League with them in his final season with the club.

He will definitely help defenders like Vishal Bhardwaj, Balasaheb Jadhav, Himmat Antil and Felix Li among others. Meanwhile, Dabang Delhi K.C will begin their PKL campaign against Tamil Thalaivas on December 3 at Ahmedabad.
