Pro Kabaddi League 2023: SWOT Analysis of Jaipur Pink Panthers for PKL Season 10. Can Sanjeev Baliyan's side defend the PKL title?

Reigning Pro Kabaddi League Champions Jaipur Pink Panthers will play more or less with the same side that won the PKL title in Season 9. The Abhishek Bachchan owned franchise emulated Patna Pirates' in becoming only the 2nd team to win multiple trophies.

This year when the Pink Panthers take on the mat, a similar zeal and fire will be inside the players as they will look to emulate Patna again in becoming the only teams to win the competition as defending champions.

Jaipur bought just 7 players during the player Auction for season 10 and filled the team mainly with Back up players and did exactly what they needed to do. There were no hefty buys as their purse didn't allow them to do so.

Jaipur acquired 6 players for 13 Lakhs and 1 player for 6 Lakhs, making full use of their remaining purse. But how good are they looking currently and how well are they prepared for the Season 10 challenge? Lets find that out in Kabaddi Adda's SWOT analysis of Jaipur Pink Panthers.

STRENGTH

Banking on the success from last season, Jaipur Pink Panthers decided to retain their core set of players which included 4 Raiders and 6 Defenders. Therefore Jaipur's Core player are their main strength. Retained raiders Arjun Deshwal, Bhavani Rajput, Devank, V Ajith Kumar will have the support of NYP raiders Abhimanyu and Abhijeet Malik.

Deshwal, Season 9's best Raider with 296 raid points will lead the attacking front with Bhavani and Ajith Kumar serving as 2nd or 3rd raiders. Newly bought raiders include Veteran Rahul Choudhari, Shashank B and Navneet will also have the onus to help Jaipur whenever they get the chance.

Defense too is their strength as they retained 6 defenders and 3 of them, Ankush Rathee (84), Sunil Kumar (62) and Sahul Kumar (53) finished 1st, 4th and 9th in the Top 10 Best defenders list of season 9.

WEAKNESS

Jaipur Pink Panthers have most of their bases covered and there isn't much of a worry when it comes to the weaknesses in their side. Even if any problem arises that could be in the depth of their raiding department in case of Injuries or illness.

Another thing that Head Coach Sanjiv Baliyan must look to avoid is complacency which is something that comes through Over-confidence and thus Jaipur must remain grounded and hungry for more.

Opportunities

New Young Player signings Abhimanyu Raghuvanshi and Abhijit Malik are 2 players who will have a great opportunity this year as both have performed well in Domestic tournaments.

Threat

Jaipur's biggest threat will be complacency during the league stages. Dabang Delhi K.C, Puneri Paltan and UP Yoddhas could pose a big threat to Jaipur Pink Panthers in Pro Kabaddi League season 10.
